Doesn’t the old USA Made Redfield Scopes have a lifetime warranty?

The original Redfield Scopes, made in Denver Colorado, did have a lifetime warranty. However, Redfield, sold their name and trademark when this occurred the lifetime warranty is now void. The USA Made scopes are serviceable, and Iron Site can repair and service these scopes, but charges to do so. Please see the Redfield page for pricing.

What do I need to do to ship a scope to Iron Site?

Iron Site recommends that your scope be packaged in any type of box, that a contact information form, be filled out with all your contact information, including a check or money order, and contacting Iron Site, either by email or calling to inquire of the current turnaround time.

Do I need to send payment with the scope?

Yes, a check or money order payment should be included with your scope and contact information.

Does Iron Site take credit card payment?

No, currently the only payment the Iron Site receives is check or money order.

I want to ship my scope in its original box.

Iron Site specifically requests that you do not send the original scope box, or any type of box that you would want returned. We discard ALL boxes that are received. You will not get your original box returned to you.

Can I pay extra to expedite my scope?

No, all scopes are placed into the production queue, as they are received. If a customer is sending multiple scopes, 3 or more. Iron Site will expedite 1 scope for every three.

Why does Iron Site give approximate turnaround times?

The turnaround time is based upon the scopes that are within our scope production queue. The scope production queue ebbs and flows with the number of scopes that we receive for service, repair and refurbishment.

May I check on the status of my scope while it is in the production queue?

Yes, you may check on the status, we highly recommend waiting until you hit the first portion of the approximate turnaround date and not within the first month the scope has been received.

How do I know when my scope is ready?

Once a scope has passed inspection and is packaged for shipping. Iron Site contacts our customers to communicate their scope is shipping and to verify the shipping address. We do not ship, unless we make contact with our customer.

How long of a warranty do I get on a scope that you service?

The day a scope is returned and received by a customer; the one-year service warranty begins. Iron Site recommends, inspecting the scope. It is highly suggested to mount the scope and zero your rifle

Will I need to re-zero my scope, when it is returned?

Yes, a scope that is serviced, repaired, of refurbished, will need to be re-zeroed. When a scope is serviced by Iron Site, the scope is returned to its factory/mechanical zero. When you scope is returned, Iron Site also provide remounting instructions.
